About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for procurement of critical spare parts for the Converter Compressor Facility (CCF) at Kennedy Space Center. The procurement supports modifications to the K7-0468 facility, which is implementing new helium and nitrogen systems with a six liquid helium pump system to enhance launch support reliability. The spare parts are from two manufacturers, Anderson Greenwood and Crosby, and include various pressure relief valves with specific set pressures and seat materials for gaseous helium systems.

The detailed parts list includes seven items from Anderson Greenwood (such as relief valves with set pressures ranging from 50 to 6500 PSIG and different seat materials like Teflon, Vespel, and PCTFE) and two items from Crosby (a relief valve with 50 PSIG set pressure and associated soft goods kit). The total quantity ranges from 1 to 16 units per part type. The parts will be shipped to the NASA Kennedy Space Center BOSS Warehouse, specifically to support the Artemis II launch preparations and provide operational readiness for high-pressure and low-pressure gaseous helium delivery systems.

Procurement of CCF (Converter Compressor Facility) Spare Parts – Anderson Greenwood, Crosby

1.0 Background

Construction of Facilities Project "80KSC020C0013 - PCN 98833.1 - Modifications to CCF for Block 1B, Phase 1" is in the process of implementing new helium and nitrogen systems at the K7-0468 Converter Compressor Facility. The modifications include a six liquid helium pump system to provide reliability and added redundancy for the facility's launch support posture. It is also implementing a new controls system for the existing nitrogen metering at the facility, to all be controlled from the facility's new Ground Support Pneumatics console. Spare parts are required to be purchased to have on-hand in the event of component failure, to minimize outages and provide continued support to the nitrogen and helium pipelines. This purchase is for spare parts to support this effort. Specifically, the Anderson Greenwood and Crosby pressure relief valves provide critical safety functions for the gaseous helium.

2.0 Requirements

The following are critical spare parts equipment from both Anderson Greenwood and Crosby to maintain operational readiness of the Converter Compressor Facility (CCF) for delivery of both high-pressure and low-pressure GHe (gaseous Helium) to the Launch Pad for Artemis II and Kennedy Space Center facilities for vehicle processing.
