About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for replacing a 30-inch cooling tower water valve labeled "2V-11" at the Propulsion Systems Laboratory (PSL) facility operated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center. The existing valve no longer seals completely and requires replacement.
The SOW specifies the exact valve model and details required for the replacement, including the valve type, actuator, and performance requirements such as bubble-tight shutoff capability and operation under 125 psig air pressure. The procurement must be delivered to NASA Glenn's PSL no later than May 31, 2025 due to programmatic schedules. Requested deliverables include the replacement valve, integrated actuator, and all associated documentation.
This SOW is associated with a federal contract opportunity under Solicitation Number 80NSSC24882304Q, titled "BOS 30 Resilient Seated Butterfly valve", issued by the NASA Shared Services Center. The opportunity is for the supply of the specified valve replacement per the SOW details.

Scope of Work
Propulsion Systems Laboratory (PSL) Cooling Tower Water Valve “2V-11” Replacement
Background
The PSL Cooling Tower Water (CTW) Valve “2V-11” no longer seals completely and is in need of replacement. As the valve is quite sizable (30” nominal size) it is required that the valve is replaced via a like-for-like swap. This avoids having to perform costly and time consuming modification to facility CTW piping.
Specification
The PSL valve 2V-11 is a Dezurik, model number: BOS, 3000, FIG632, W, B, RS50, I, KCG12C10, P42, FIG406, 406, FIG617, PXX648
The valve actuator must be double acting with no spring, and lock in place in case of air supply failure. The air is supplied at a pressure of 125psig. The valve must provide bubble tight shutoff of the 60psig max cooling tower water.
Period of Performance
Due to programmatic schedules and required installation time, this procurement must be delivered to NASA Glenn, PSL no later than May 31st, 2025.
Deliverables
1. Dezurik “butterfly” valve as specified above or Mfg. updated equivalent. Must include integrated actuator with the above described operation and features.
Paper and electronic copies of all valve, actuator, and accessories documentation. Including, but not limited to: drawings w/parts list, operations manuals, and maintenance manuals.
