About this file

This sole source justification document proposes procuring four custom jet docks from Jet Dock Systems, Inc. to support Maritime Expeditionary Security Group Two's winter missions. Jet Dock Systems previously provided thirteen floating docks under multiple contracts awarded from 2008 to 2023. The jet docks are critical to ensure mission capabilities and no other vendor can provide compatible docks within the required timeframe due to Jet Dock Systems' proprietary design. While the requirement was synopsized, only Jet Dock Systems expressed interest. The contracting officer determined the estimated $250,000 cost to be fair and reasonable. The contract would be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items and funded by FY24 Navy O&M appropriations.
