Text version
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source contract to the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) of Irving, TX in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.105-1 (a) (2) (i). The procurement is anticipated to provide the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) with 12-months of 2023, 2024, and 2025 final de-duplicated emergency department (ED) data from up to 55 hospitals sampled in support of the National Hospital Care Survey (NHCS).
ACEP is the only source capable of meeting the needs for this purchase as it owns the Clinical Emergency Data Registry that contains data for the hospitals required by the NHCS effort. As confirmed by market research, there is no other hospital database that can supply all of the required data elements in the NHCS sample.
In no way does this notice constitute a solicitation. However, any firm that believes itself capable of meeting the requirements described herein may submit a response which will be considered if received before 16 May at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the government. Responses shall be submitted via email to Michael Gilham at ueh8@cdc.gov with the Notice ID included in the subject line.
