About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics for a sources sought notice for a mixed signal oscilloscope. The U.S. Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground requires one mixed signal oscilloscope with at least four channels supporting digital downconversion on each channel for simultaneous visibility of radio frequency signals in the time domain and baseband signaling in the frequency domain. The oscilloscope must also enable independent acquisition settings in the time and frequency domains, spectrum analysis on two channels with different center frequencies, noise performance of less than one gigahertz, and radio frequency versus time plots for magnitude, phase, and frequency over time. Responders should have the ability to meet these minimum technical requirements.

The Government requires one (1) mixed signal oscilloscope with the following minimum characteristics:
1. Four (4) channels with digital downconversion (DDC) on each channel for visibility of radio frequency (RF) in time domain and baseband signaling in frequency domain simultaneously.
2. Independent acquisition settings in time and frequency domain for optimal configuration and visibility of each.
3. Spectrum analysis on at least two (2) channels with different center frequencies to support different signalling paths at separate carriers.
4. Superior noise performance at high sensitivity settings: less than (<) 70 micro Volt (μV) at one (1) GigaHertz (GHz) Bandwidth at one (1) milliVolt/division (mV/div)
5. High resolution analog to digital converter with a minimum 12-bit for finer amplitude resolution and lower quantization noise.
6. High sampling rate of 50 GigaSamples per second (GS/s) with two (2) channels for high resolution in the time domain providing picosecond resolution.
7. Time and frequency domain synchronization for correlating exact time domain to frequency domain anomalies.
8. Instantaneous bandwidth (Spectrum View Span) in digital downconversion (DDC) greater than (>) one (1) GigaHertz (GHz) to support high bandwidths of radio frequency system on a chip (RFSoC) specifications.
9. Radio Frequency (RF) versus (vs) time plots: Magnitude vs time, Phase vs time, Frequency vs time for visibility of RF characteristics over time.
