STATEMENT OF WORK

1) BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Tuberculosis Research Section (TRS) requires the use of a liquid chromatography mass spectrometer (LC-MS and LC-QqQ) to perform experiments in drug discovery, metabolomics, and microsomal stability, dereplication database, pharmacokinetics, structural determination, clinical serum levels and patient care. Many experiments are time sensitive in conjunction with efficacy studies in clinical trials and high throughput screening and requires prompt repair and maintenance upkeep of the Agilent 1100 LC with 1946DSL Mass selective detector and Agilent 11290 Infinity HPLC with 6460 Triple Quadrupole mass detector.

2) PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ACQUISITION

Should the system become inoperable without easy on site user repair, the system will be nonfunctional while parts and labor are negotiated through AMBIS and available vendors. This will interrupt progress in TRS’s primary research functions.

3) CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:

a) For the LC-MS system, the contractor shall;

i) Provide one preventive maintenance service visit a year that includes replacement of longlife DAD uv bulb and other PM replacement parts.

ii) 2 day response turnaround time for service call requests

iii) Telephone support for diagnosis and repair consultation

iv) Service contract price includes all travel, labor, and parts (except consumable items and items exposed to sample)

v) Service should cover the following components: Mass selective detector G1946D, binary pump G1312A, diode array detector G1315A, thermal column compartment G1316A, fluorimeter G1321A, control module G1323A, autosampler G1329A, thermostat G1330A, degasser G1322A, and chemstation software ver A 10.02

b) For the LC-QqQ system, the contractor shall;

i) provide one preventive maintenance service visit a year. Includes, but not limited to, inspection of system and pump oil; clean source; inspect filter; run diagnostic
