Questions and Answers:
Q: Will Ft Dix accept a program similar to Alternative Energy? If not, what do they mean by Alternative Energy program, what types of courses or skills and other outcomes do they envision?
A: I clarified the requirement with Ft. Dix and will be amending the solicitation to reflect the fact that they will accept a fully accredited program for Alternative Energy, Green Technology, Sustainable Technology or a similar field. They are looking for you, as the provider, to provide the curriculum, syllabus, and deliver instruction. They do not have a specific course list in mind. Under the "Scope of Performance" paragraph in the Statement of Work it states, "The contractor will provide a written curriculum which establishes measurable behavioral objectives and procedures. The curriculum must include clear criteria which establish minimum expectations for program completion, provisions for the assessment of student progress, must identify the hands-on competencies and must require the students to demonstrate them. In addition to core classes needed to attain an Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science degree (A.A.S.), the curriculum must also include a course on resume development."
You can provide multiple curriculum options under the Pricing Methodology paragraph in the RFQ, "Quoters are encouraged to submit multiple quotes representing alternative terms and conditions for commercial items that satisfy the requirements of this solicitation. Each quote submitted will be evaluated separately."
