MEMORANDUM FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE 60803-013-9
FROM: Stefanie Skroch, Supervisory Contract Specialist
SUBJECT: Correction to Brand Name Justification
The brand name justification for the Aeromix Systems Tornado surface aspirating aerator incorrectly identified the Aeration Industries Aire-02 aerator in use at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI Phoenix), Phoenix, Arizona, as the Triton aerator. The Aire-02 aspirating aerator model number AES-3-3 is currently in use at FCI Phoenix.
The statements regarding the frequent maintenance to remove rags and stringy material and the condition of the plastic floats of the Aire-02 aerator in use are correct based on FCI Phoenix’s experience with this aerator.
