REQUEST FOR QUOTE 75F40126Q00042
CHEMDOODLE LICENSE OR EQUAL
This is a combined/synopsis solicitation issued under FAR Part 12 and 13.5 procedures. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement. The NAICS code is 813920. The small business size standard is $25.5 or $14 in millions of dollars.
The Government is in no way obligated to make an award, nor to pay any costs incurred by the Contractor in preparing and submitting its quote.
1. BACKGROUND
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) needs an FDA site license for a chemical drawing tool for all FDA users in the FDA domain.
2. SCOPE
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is in need for a chemical drawing tool for over 1100 users, including Chemist and Informatics Staff, FDA wide. ChemDoodle is an advanced software suite for drawing chemical structure diagrams. ChemDoodle allows users to take their chemical data and create and automatically position chemical bonds in the correct direction and place the chemical attributes and labels in the best locations.
ChemDoodle helps to take complex chemical data and create structures and schemes that can be embedded as an editable object in a document. ChemDoodle supports full editing that enables the structures and schemes built in the software to be use in standard office software and then reimported back into ChemDoodle if additional editing is needed. In addition, ChemDoodle software can calculate NMR spectra and generate IUPAC names and line notations for the chemical structures and schemes. The tool should be available for the operating systems Windows, Mac, and Linux as there are FDA users that use these different operating systems. The site license and maintenance should provide the FDA with off-site technical support and access to all product upgrades and patches. iChemLabs and their Authorized Reseller, BMT Micro, Inc are the only known sources that can provide maintenance and technical support for the ChemDoodle product.
