About this file
The document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) # 10209929 issued by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for Land Survey Equipment, specifically seeking an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Drone Aircraft Package for the South Central Region Office. The RFQ requests a DJI Matrice 350 Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) drone package, including the drone, high-altitude low-noise propellers, additional intelligent flight batteries, a full-frame photogrammetry camera, perpetual mapping software license, remote controller batteries, a drone landing pad, battery charging station, LiDAR payload, and a two-year protection warranty. The RFQ was released on May 8, 2025, with written questions due by May 14, 2025, DWR responses by May 16, 2025, and quotes due by May 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
The procurement includes preferences for California-certified small businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), with potential 5% bid evaluation preferences. Suppliers must provide a quotation on official business letterhead with detailed specifications, including comprehensive technical requirements for the drone such as payload capacity, flight time, operating frequencies, hovering accuracy, and operational capabilities. The drone is intended for autonomous and pilot-operated land surveys and aerial topographic mapping, with delivery to the DWR South Central Region Office in Fresno, California. The RFQ emphasizes that award will be made to the supplier meeting administrative requirements and providing the lowest net cost quotation after applying small business and DVBE incentives.
