About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for RFP# 377222CD addressing bid period inquiries regarding capacitor specifications and procurement requirements.
The document clarifies three key points for prospective suppliers. First, regarding Questions 1 and 2 concerning capacitor pictures, manufacturer names, part numbers, and serial numbers, the government states that suppliers must provide solutions and capacitors meeting the specification requirements outlined in the RFP itself—these details are information that suppliers should provide to the government rather than the reverse. Second, in response to Question 3 about capacitor type, the government confirms there is no requirement restricting capacitor type; film capacitors are explicitly acceptable as solutions that meet the stated specifications. The Q&A indicates this is a manufacturer-led solution where bidders are responsible for identifying and proposing appropriate capacitor products that satisfy the RFP's technical requirements.

RFP# 377222CD- QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Bid Period Questions
Question 1: Could you please provide a picture of the capacitor, manufacturer name, or part # we could look further?
Question 2: Could you please provide the serial number to the unit you are needing the cap upgrade?
Answer to Questions 1 & 2: This specification and bid is for the manufacturer to provide a solution (and hence capacitors) that meet the specification requirements outlined in the RFP.
Questions 1 and 2 are what the suppliers would need to give to us.
Question 3: What type of capacitor is most applicable? The tolerance and the terminals seem to suggest they are looking for electrolytic capacitors. Can you confirm you are looking for film capacitors?
Answer to Question 3: There is no requirement on the type of capacitor. Film capacitors are acceptable.
