About this file
This document is an Addendum #1 to Request for Proposals (RFP) #274-526 issued by the City of Raleigh for a Firefighter Exam, Interview, and Job Analysis procurement. The addendum modifies the original RFP by updating the Scope of Services to include a virtual structured oral interview component for up to 500 entry-level firefighter candidates. The oral interview will encompass test information, detailed exam analysis, candidate performance grading, and a final tabulation ranking candidates from best to worst to serve as a recommended hiring order. The proposal is due on June 4, 2025, by 3:00 PM, with the addendum requiring vendors to provide associated costs in incremental ranges of 100 applicants (1-100, 101-200, 201-300, 301-400, and 401-500).
The addendum does not provide specific pricing details or funding sources but requires vendors to submit comprehensive cost breakdowns for the interview and assessment components. The document is part of the Raleigh Fire Department's annual recruitment process, seeking a vendor to develop and administer a professional assessment tool for public safety hiring. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors with expertise in developing assessment tools, with no explicit set-aside designations or incumbent vendor restrictions mentioned. The addendum serves to clarify and expand upon the original RFP's requirements, ensuring potential proposers have the most current information for preparing their submissions.
