About this file
This is Schedule C of a Request for Proposal (RFP 26-1165) issued by the State of Michigan for Statewide Interpretation and Translation services. The document establishes comprehensive insurance requirements that the contractor must maintain throughout the contract term at its sole expense. The contractor is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required insurance coverage, with minimum limits that may be satisfied through a combination of primary liability, umbrella or excess liability, and self-insurance coverage. Insurance certificates must be submitted to DTMB Enterprise Risk Management within 10 business days of contract execution, with renewal certificates provided annually or as coverage effective dates dictate. The contractor must notify the State within 5 business days of any cancellation or non-renewal of required coverage.
The insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 each occurrence, $2,000,000 general aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per accident with Hired and Non-Owned coverage), Workers' Compensation according to applicable laws, Employers Liability ($500,000 each accident and disease aggregate), and Privacy and Security Liability/Cyber Liability ($3,000,000 each occurrence and annual aggregate). All policies must be issued by insurers with an A.M. Best rating of A- VII or higher unless otherwise approved, and the State of Michigan must be named as an additional insured on applicable policies on a primary and non-contributory basis. The contractor is responsible for ensuring subcontractors maintain appropriate insurance coverage. For claims-made coverage, the contractor must maintain coverage for at least three years after contract completion and purchase extended reporting coverage if the policy is cancelled or not renewed.
