About this file
This revised drawings file contains technical construction documents for the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) Access Control System Upgrade project across four Cincinnati-area facilities: Huntington Center (TY402), Queensgate (TY404 and TY405), and Bond Hill (TY407). The project encompasses a complete access control system migration and upgrade across seven total SORTA facilities, with proposals due August 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The scope includes replacement of door controllers at 112 existing doors plus 4 new doors, replacement of card readers at all locations except Huntington Center, database migration from the existing AMAG/Symmetry system to Genetec Security Center version 5.12, installation of badging workstations with cameras and printers at each facility, and comprehensive staff training. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for July 1, 2026, with questions due July 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The contract term is five years with mandatory maintenance and support services, and pricing must remain valid for 120 days from the proposal deadline.
The awardee must be a Certified Genetec Channel Partner and meet minimum qualifications including five years of access control systems integration experience, continuous equipment installer certification for at least two years, a Project Manager with minimum two years of similar systems management experience, and trainers with minimum 40 hours of manufacturer training. SORTA is funded by Federal Transit Administration assistance, triggering mandatory Davis-Bacon prevailing wage compliance, Buy America certification, and DBE participation expectations. The contractor must provide a 10 percent bid bond, 100 percent performance and payment bond, and maintain multiple insurance policies including general liability of $1,000,000 minimum per occurrence. A one-year warranty from substantial completion is required, with manufacturer extended warranties conveyed to SORTA at final acceptance. Existing sensors and cabling shall be reused to the greatest extent possible to minimize project costs.
