Fontenelle Dam Power Plant - Unit Breaker Replacement & Excitation System Modifications Seedskadee Project, Wyoming Solicitation No. R15PS00683, Amendment 0002

Generator Protection System

26 09 16 - 3

M. Provide current firmware for new and existing multi-function relays.

N. Design to utilize existing lockout relays and indicating lights.

O. Design to utilize existing protection DC circuit breaker.

P. Provide test blocks (FT Series) for inputs and outputs on each relay.

Q. Provide interconnection and logic for communications coprocessor.

R. Provide adequate terminal points to provide 20 percent spares.

S. Use existing conduit and cable tray.

T. Test existing resistive temperature devices (RTDs) connected to protective relaying system. Replace malfunctioning RTDs. Provide 15 RTDs to act as replacements for malfunctioning RTDs or spares. Use existing cable tray and conduit.

U. Provide new RTDs for station service transformer KSB and Turbine Packing box as shown on drawings.

V. The Technical Service Center (TSC) will provide programing for the relays and protective devices.

1.04 SUBMITTALS

A. Submit the following in accordance with Section 01 33 00- Submittals and Section 01 33 26- Electrical Drawings and Data.

B. RSN 26 09 16-1, Removal, Modification, and Installation Plan and Procedures:

1. Provide Detailed Narrative including:

a. Provide scope, preparation, and outage impact.

b. Modifications to excitation cabinet C1E for removal of existing generator protection relay (SEL 300G) and relocating existing communications coprocessor (SEL 2032).

c. Removal of protection cabinet C1A2 and associated protection and control relays.

d. Detailed instructions identifying new and existing bus, cables or wiring runs necessary for installation of new protection equipment.

e. Detailed instructions for initial inspection of new equipment, including wiring, alignment, and testing plans.

f. Detailed instructions for through put functional testing of digital multi-function protective relays prior to commissioning.
