Performance Work Statement Collagen 1 and Collagen 3 Testing

Background:

The ENT Department, were recently awarded a DHA research grand via the Clinical Investigations Department (CID) to perform a research study involving rabbits in the vivarium. The project includes surgical specimens from these rabbits that require pathology slide preparation and analysis, which cannot be supported internally at NMCSD and, therefore, must be outsourced.

Requirements:

The ENT department research team requires a lab that can perform immunohistochemistry stains with antibodies to collagen 1 and collagen 3, as well as hematoxylin and eosin stains. The lab should also be able to process tissue specimens and analyze the specimens to provide quantitative data. The lab also needs to be local so that the ENT department research team can hand deliver specimens for processing.

The lab will need to process and embed, section tissue, hematoxylin and eosin stain, develop immunohistochemistry for collagen 1 and collagen 3, immunohistochemistry stain, scan, and quantitate 72 samples over a 6-8 week period.

The lab will provide all required materials and supplies with the exception of the 72 samples that will be provided by the ENT department research team.

Period of Performance:

Timeline: 6-8 weeks from receipt of all samples/reagents
