About this file
This is a Purchase Description document for the acquisition of one (1) remote-controlled, tracked mower designed for specialized terrain mowing operations. The Government seeks equipment capable of mowing and cutting grass and brush in wet conditions and on sloped terrain where standard ride-on or walk-behind mowers present safety hazards to operators.
The equipment must meet specific minimum requirements including a wireless remote control with approximately 1,000 feet operating distance, an approximate 52-inch cutting deck width, and a track drive system to maximize traction and stability. The mower must safely traverse slopes of at least 37 degrees in wet conditions and be capable of cutting brush up to 1.5 inches in diameter. The unit must be equipped with automatic safety shutdowns for tip-over and lost remote signal conditions, as well as a strobe or operation indicator light for visibility. The equipment is prohibited from utilizing GPS or wire-guided systems. Vendors must provide all accessories required for immediate operation, including the remote control unit, batteries, and battery chargers, with equipment delivered turn-key and fully assembled. The vendor must be an authorized dealer or provide documented proof that the original manufacturer's warranty remains fully intact upon purchase. The Government prefers access to a local authorized service center and vendors should demonstrate the ability to sustain OEM warranty coverage, provide long-term equipment repair, and supply original replacement parts. The Government reserves the right to request an equipment demonstration after quotes are received and prior to final award to verify that the quoted item meets stated operational capabilities.
