Defense Health Agency
About this file
This document is a justification and approval for a sole source contract extension. The Defense Health Agency plans to extend an existing contract with Kennell and Associates Inc for Policy and Statistical Analysis Services (PSAS) through June 2021 using Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.217-8. The PSAS contract supports analysis of cost containment opportunities, actuarial modeling, claims processing enhancements, and evaluation of TRICARE and dental programs. It also involves maintaining databases and developing cost projections for managed care contracts. The justification cites only one responsible source being able to meet requirements as the rationale for the noncompetitive award, originally made in December 2020 for an unknown amount.
