About this file
This is a Presolicitation Notice indicating the Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center's intent to sole source a contract for service and calibration of Hyperbaric Oxygen Analyzers, specifically the Geotech Model HYPB 2.0 units. The requirement is for NUWC - Keyport Division and has been assigned Solicitation Number 140D0426Q0782, classified as a Special Notice opportunity type.
The notice documents the government's intention to award this contract to a single source rather than compete it among multiple vendors. This presolicitation announcement provides potential contractors and the public with advance notice of the sole source intent, allowing for the submission of capability statements or protests if other firms believe they can meet the requirement. The specific service and calibration work for the Geotech Model HYPB 2.0 analyzers indicates a specialized technical requirement that the government has determined only one contractor can adequately fulfill, likely due to the equipment's proprietary nature or the specialized expertise required for maintenance and calibration of this particular hyperbaric oxygen analysis system.
