About this file

This document is a Louisiana Preference form designed for state and local procurement processes, specifically addressing preferences for products produced, manufactured, or assembled within Louisiana. The form outlines detailed requirements for bidders seeking a 10% price preference when offering Louisiana-made products, with key conditions including that the Louisiana-produced items must be equal in quality, not exceed the lowest bid price by more than 10%, and the vendor must have a workforce comprising at least 50% Louisiana residents.

The preference applies to materials, supplies, products, provisions, and equipment, with specific definitions provided for terms like "assembled," "manufactured," "processed," and "produced" within Louisiana. Bidders must complete the entire form prior to bid opening, marking whether they claim the preference, confirm their Louisiana workforce composition, specify line items for preference, and provide the location within Louisiana where products are produced. The form is structured to allow procurement officers to consider Louisiana-based vendors while maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards.
