About this file

This document is an introductory guide to CDMRP funding opportunity application instructions. It establishes the relationship between two primary documents that applicants must use in tandem: the program announcement and the General Application Instructions (GAI). The program announcement provides the foundational "what to submit" information, while the GAI furnishes detailed procedural guidance on "how to submit" applications, covering both preparation and submission processes.

The document emphasizes the critical importance of version alignment between documents. Applicants must ensure that the GAI version displayed on its cover page matches the version specified on the front page of the program announcement to maintain accuracy and compliance with specific funding opportunity requirements. Applicants are instructed to access the GAI through hyperlinks provided within the relevant program announcement.

CDMRP Funding Opportunity Application Instructions:

The General Application Instructions (GAI) are designed to be read in conjunction with the program announcement for a funding opportunity offered by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

The program announcement provides basic information necessary to prepare an application (i.e., what to submit), whereas the GAI provides additional details and instruction for both application preparation and submission (i.e., how to submit).

To access the General Application Instructions, use the hyperlinks provided in the program announcement. For accurate referencing, ensure that the version on the cover page of the GAI matches the version specified on the front page of the program announcement.
