About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for the procurement of two vertical turbine pumps. The solicitation (Quotation Number PF250168JF) seeks mixed-flow, water-lubricated vertical turbine pumps with specific technical requirements, including a 2250 GPM flow rate, 46-foot total dynamic head, and powered by a 40HP electric motor. The quotation is due by April 9th, 2025, at 12 PM PST, with a required delivery deadline of June 30th, 2025, to the Lacey Construction Shop. The procurement allows for potential future purchase orders under the same terms within one year of the award.
The RFQ includes provisions for small businesses and veteran-owned businesses, with a preference for awarding to these types of vendors if they submit the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The document emphasizes the Build America Buy America Act requirements, which mandate that iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials be produced in the United States. The pricing structure allows for vendor quotes with optional prompt payment discounts, and the total procurement is estimated to be under $150,000. WDFW has also included environmental considerations, requesting packaging without polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and without color or dyes, reflecting the state's commitment to environmental sustainability.
