Performance Work Statement

Service contract of Fire Doors

Robins AFB

February, 2020

1. GENERAL: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, supervision, and services necessary to perform the following:

SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor to do yearly test all fire doors in the reference buildings below. If any discrepancies or problems are found in the test contractor is responsible to submit a repair or replacement quote, after review/negotiation an approval from CE will be granted to contractor and will be able to start work to get the doors certified. All discrepancies, quotes must be submitted to Project Manager for consideration before proceeding.

ABW buildings: 255, 1021 and 1555 (CLIN 001) this will include all fire doors in the buildings. Based on current information we gathered that we have around 11 doors in these buildings. If in any case any doors are added to the building this will be included via MOD in the contract.

ALC buildings: 42, 50, 59, 91, 125, 142, 150, 180, 321, 323, 640, 670, 2316 and 2328

(CLIN 002) this will include all fire doors in the buildings. Based on current information we gathered that we have around 30 doors in these buildings. If in any case any doors are added to the building this will be included via MOD in the contract.

All doors must be tested by qualified personnel in accordance with NFPA.

At the time of test any defects that could interfere with operation of the doors shall be corrected after CE has reviewed/approved the quote submitted by contractor. All records of inspections shall be given to the Project Manager and Authority Having Jurisdiction

Fire department Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention. Contractor must keep track after initial test to do the yearly test no less than annually if option is exercised for the next year.

In the extreme case the door has been determined that needs to be replaced. After CE concurrence and approval contractor shall replace the out of service door.

Site visit can be conducted for bidding purposes.

2. MEASUREMENTS: The contractor shall confirm any and all measurements and make exact measurements to insure all materials will fit existing openings when replacing parts.

3. COORDINATION: The Contractor shall provide a minimum of one-week notification prior to the start of testing. CE will contact Facility Managers to get access to the doors.

4. DISPOSAL OF REMOVED MATERIAL: Contractor should leave work area and take out any disposal whenever parts are changed. In case of door replacement contractor has the responsibility of disposal of the door.

5. SITE MAINTENANCE, CLEAN UP, AND RESTORATION: N/A

6. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: N/A
