About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the LNA Southside Redevelopment Program Phase 3, a project undertaken by Palm Beach County, Florida. The project involves the expansion of an existing airfield electrical vault by approximately 2,500 square feet, encompassing interior renovation of the existing structure and replacement of the existing roof. The scope includes modifications to the existing HVAC and Fire Protection systems to accommodate the expanded vault. The expansion increases the vault's electrical capacity and involves the relocation of existing regulators, ALCMS control system, fiber optic cable, power, and communication wiring. Replacement of the standby emergency power generator is included as an additive alternate bid item, allowing bidders to propose pricing for this additional component separately.

The document establishes the technical and functional requirements for contractors bidding on this construction and systems upgrade project. Bidders are expected to provide comprehensive proposals that address all work outlined in the scope, including structural modifications, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, and infrastructure relocation. The additive alternate structure for the emergency power generator replacement allows the owner flexibility in project phasing and budget management while providing contractors with clear pricing expectations for the various components of the work.
