P15PS00924 - JEFF REPAIR/REPLACE ARCH LOUVERS

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

DATE ISSUED: 2 JUNE 2015

The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows:

The project entails repairing/replacing louvers at the Gateway Arch, Saint Louis, MO.

1. Repair/replace the existing Arch exhaust air louver system (located in the top of the Arch) as needed.

2. Repair/Replace all actuators, dampers, associated motors; operators and wiring as needed.

3. Re-weld loose stainless steel slats in existing exterior mechanical louvers on top of the Arch. Slats have been previously welded to vertical face of a stainless steel drain pan.

Contract performance should be completed within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15.0M. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $100,000 to $250,000. This solicitation will be advertised under Small Business set-aside.

A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about 20 June 2015. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this website to download applicable documents and check for amendments. Facsimile or electronic submissions of proposals will NOT be accepted. This pre-solicitation announcement does not constitute a solicitation. Businesses are required to have an active registration in System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) in order to conduct business with the federal government.
