A2: No, just remove the existing Q3: Loop Counter locations?
A3: The Bike and Hike photo shows the counter loop at the west entry, it’s actually on the east.
Q4: Clarify requirement – spot around kiosk.
A4: As per drawings spot around kiosk will be included.
Happy Days Q5: Tunnel – Concerns about damaging the tunnel when removing old asphalt A5: Bid as per specs. Additionally we will add a line to bid only a 2 inch overlay in the tunnel without removing existing, all other specs remain the same) Q6: Are there places to dispose of old asphalt?
A6: Refer to section 01010 i summary of work. However, the Park will accept clean grindings at a location on Truxell Rd. any rough material will be not be accepted and the contractor to dispose of offsite. This will be determined by the COR Q7: Are there places to dispose of dirt?
A7: Refer to section 01010 i summary of work Q11: Are there underground utilities?
A11: The contractor will have to verify by calling appropriate officials. Section 1010 j Q12: what is the purpose of the open bottom catch basin?
A12: Sustainable storm water management.
Botsum Parking Lot:
Q13: Is 2400 square yards approximate?
A13: This is not a correct number and has been changed to approx. 8400 sq yds.
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS
Q14: Volume II, Factor 1, Sub Factor 1 Relevant Experience: Is there a required Form we should use to list our relevant completed projects?
A14: There is no required form for relevant experience.
Q15: Volume II, Factor 2 Past Performance: We want to confirm that the Past Performance Questionnaire is to be completed solely by us and not the Client.
A15: Either the offeror or the client can fill out the PPQ.
Q16: Per the pre-bid site walk through at the Botzum Trailhead parking lot, it was mentioned that the entire lot is to be resurfaced once repairs have been made. The quantity of 2” asphalt surfacing on the drawing and the bid form call for 2,400 square yards of surface area to be paved. The entire asphalt lot at Botzum measures approximately 8,000 square yards. Please advise.
A16: This is why it is very important for the contractor to measure and verify. We have reviewed the numbers and we come up with 8400 square yards and the original number was a typo. There is also the same typo in SOW pg. 9 section 01010 b. e. and this should also be 8400 sq yd.
Q17: The drawing for the Bike and Trailhead parking lot on Boston Mills road illustrates paving under and up to the kiosk. Shall bidders consider this as a widening? Or pave up to existing edge of asphalt with no widening?
A17: Drawing is what should be bid. We would like paving around the kiosk as shown on the map.
