The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Green Bay fish & Wildlife Conservation Officer, 2661 Scott Tower drive, New Franken, WI 54229, intends to negotiate a one-time sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order with INNOVASEA for Acoustic Receivers. INNOVASEA is the only company that supplies acoustic receivers for use with existing network of telemetry receivers deployed in Green Bay and Lake Michigan, as part of the Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observing System (GLATOS, https://glatos.glos.us), used for the ongoing research and monitoring study of the movement of lake sturgeon, whitefish, walleye and lake trout:
1. VR2AR-69khz Coded Acoustic Receivers with Acoustic Release – 50 each
2. VR100 8 Channel DSP Manual Tracking Receiver – 1 each
3. VHTx69kHz Transponding Hydrophone 25 Meter Waterproof Cable for VR100 – 1 each
4. Release Lugs for VR2AR and Ascent Acoustic Release Receivers – 50 each
5. Shipping & Handling – 1 each
Due to the nature of the acoustic telemetry technology and the equipment being utilized by our office, and many other FWCOs, there are no other companies capable of providing this equipment. Use of other brands of equipment would be incompatible with our existing equipment and may interfere with equipment already deployed for existing field work. The proprietary nature of acoustic telemetry equipment and the importance of compatibility with our existing equipment prevents use of other brands.
