Notice of Award

This is a Notice of Emergency Award issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Forensic Science on August 25, 2026, for roof repair services. The award was made to International Roofing, located at 2200 Magnolia Street, Richmond, VA 23223, under VOSB commodity code 14560. The emergency procurement was necessitated by water damage discovered in the Toxicology and Administrative Section of the Department of Forensic Science's building located at 700 N 5th Street, Richmond, VA 23219. The damaged roof was identified as the source of ongoing water leaks that posed a risk of additional structural damage to the currently vacant building. Given the urgency of addressing the leak to prevent further deterioration, the Department of Forensic Science pursued an emergency award rather than conducting a standard solicitation process.

Records associated with this procurement are available for inspection. Cynthia Callender, CPPB, VCO, Procurement Officer II for the Department of Forensic Science, served as the procurement officer and may be contacted at (804) 588-4015 or cynthia.callender@dfs.virginia.gov for inquiries regarding the award and procurement records.
