Q&A -1
1. Regarding the BDU long sleeve shirt and short sleeve shirt, the specs called out are for legacy style BDUs that are rarely used today by police forces (i.e. the four-pocket front and shoulder epaulets). Would the Government be willing to consider more a more modern style of BDU which contains two front pockets and no shoulder epaulets? There are many BDU style shirts on the market that provide increased performance in terms of breathability, range of motion, and fit to the body. However, these modern shirts lack the legacy shoulder epaulets and come with 4 pockets only in the long sleeve versions – two pockets in the short sleeve. - We will consider his request but the legacy BDU is highly used in this market. There are several companies that makes the BDU with a variation of styles and specs.
