Questions
1. If we do [food science] modules and labs, we will need to purchase food for the lab exercises, which of course is not allowed. I am seeking permission to buy food for these [limited number of] events... If this is allowable, I understand this permission will be in the contract (and if it is not allowed it will not be there).
Quoters may propose food as a scientific material/supply provided it is not “food for a Meal”. It will depend on the proposal, but food will generally be considered allowable if it is part of the indigenous knowledge unit.
2. This is a question regarding period of performance p. 2
“Period of Performance: The estimated period of performance is on or about: Base Period:
5/15/2022– 1/18/2023 Option Period 1: 1/19/2023 – 9/15/2023 The Base Period includes a seven (7) or eight (8) week summer program provided with the attached schedule and curriculum. The base period will also include a one-day activity to be held during Fall of 2022 for the same students who participated in the summer program. The Option Period 1 will include a one-day activity to be held during the Spring of 2023 and a seven (7) or eight (8) week summer program.”
Is it possible for the program to be 5-weeks during the summer from 9am – 4pm Monday - Thursday…? In addition, [is a] 4-day program during the summer months [acceptable?] The time would be made up by meeting twice a month for the entire academic year for two hours each meeting.
Although not ideal, this may be proposed, if the spring and fall events meet regularly and students are required to attend. In addition, other requirements of the summer must still be met during the year, e.g., culturally relevant personnel present, etc.
(It would be helpful to know details regarding the conflicting summer activities, and/or other rationale for proposing an alternate schedule.)
3. Previously we submitted Business Volume, Technical Volume, FAR 52.204-24 and a combined statement of work w bio sketch. This RPQ only has three items (Business Volume, Technical Volume, FAR 52.204-24). Is this correct?
The resumes and technical plan should be included in the Technical Volume.
