SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

VENDOR Q&A

1. What is the forecasted award date?

Answer: 09 October 2015.

2. C.1.6.4. States, "Provide Three (3) 40-passenger bus with seatbelts." Can the Government consider waiving the requirement for seatbelts, as buses in Ecuador do not typically have seatbelts?

Answer: Seat belts are preferable. Buses need to be in compliance with local laws regarding seat belt usage. The ultimate decision would have to come from Advanced Command Element or the SCO in Ecuador.

3. C.1.12.4. States, "Provide Five (5) Portable hand-washing stations (3 sink capacity each)." Is the Government requiring that the portable hand-washing stations each have 3 sinks?

Answer: Yes, each portable hand-washing station will have 3 sinks per unit.

4. Portable hand-washing stations typically are 2 sink capacity. Can the Government advise if the 3 sink capacity each need to be connected? Could the Government, please advise the total number of sinks required for each location?

Answer: The 3 sinks shall be connected or one unit with 3 separate sinks.

5. For Vector Control, can the Government please advise the size of the location where the services are needed?

Answer: appx 1-2 acres

6. Are there any buildings?

Answer: one Medsite will be in a school and the other in an open compound

7. Is this all an open field area?

Answer: no

8. What will the size of the camp(s) be?

Answer: appx 1-2 acres. There will be no "camp" style of setup

9. C.1.14.1. States, "Provide 150 gallons of distilled water." Can the Government please clarify the definition of distilled water? What is the difference between the bottled water and distilled water? Can the Government please advise water the distilled water will be used for?

Answer: Distilled water will be utilized for the dental chairs, therefore distilled water that meets dental standards is required. Water from which impurities, as dissolved salts and colloidal particles, have been removed by a process of distillation. Basically, in the process of distillation, the pure H2O is boiled out of its contaminants leaving chemically pure water. It is not the same as your average bottled water which is purified but not free of all dissolved salts and minerals.

10. Can the Government extend the response date from 5OCT18 to 8OCT18 17:00

EST?

Answer: As per this Solicitation Amendment, the solicitation close date will be extended until 11:00a.m. (EST) 07 October 2018.

11. Who will be responsible for setting and taking down each facility site?

Answer: the ESC will be responsible for setting up and taking down all line items in the contract and the mission personnel will be responsible for setting up their own mission gear. The statement of work on each line item discusses set up and removal responsibilities.

12. Should I factor in labor for all those activities in my proposal?

Answer: This will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) firm fixed-price (FFP) contract.

It is totally on the vendor how their company will factor labor and/or profit…etc into their proposal/quote.
