About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document (RFI 003) related to a flooring replacement construction project at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Building 110, Room 120.

The document addresses two specific technical questions regarding steel slotted grates and panel specifications. It clarifies that steel slotted panels, which have higher CFM than existing perforated panels, should be installed at a ratio of one steel slotted panel for every 2-3 existing perforated panels, and these new panels should not be cut. It also corrects a part number discrepancy, confirming that the correct panel specification is FS200D rather than the ASM FM200D solid computer panels originally referenced in the drawings.

Text version

RFI 003

• What is the quantity of Steel Slotted Grates that are to be cut into the new tiles?

ANSWER: The steel slotted panels have a higher CFM than the existing perforated panels. For every 2-3 existing perforated panels there should be one steel slotted panel installed. The new steel panels are not to be cut.

• Drawings specify we will be installing part number ASM FM200D solid computer panels.

Website does not show a part number as FM but shows FS as concrete filled. Can you confirm the actual part number to know what we are to cut and install?

ANSWER: The panels are FS200D.
