This is a Questions and Answers document addressing a contractor inquiry about furniture removal coordination during a flooring replacement project at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Building 110, Room 120. The document clarifies that a government-provided furniture contractor will periodically remove furniture within the room as needed, but the room cannot be completely emptied of equipment during the flooring work.

The related contract opportunity is being issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command as solicitation N6660425Q0108. The work involves construction for flooring renovation, with contractors required to have active SAM.GOV registration but not JCP certification. Access to drawings, specifications, and photos requires special handling and appropriate SAM.gov roles, with contracting officer approval needed for controlled attachments.

RFI 002

The drawing states that "the raised flooring contractor is to work alongside a government-provided furniture removal contractor."

Could you clarify if the furniture contractor plans to remove all the furniture from the site or if they will move it within the room, requiring us to work around them?

Answer: The government provided furniture contractor will be removing furniture within the room periodically/as needed. The room cannot be completely emptied of equipment.
