About this file

This is a Brand Name or Equal Justification document issued by the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) for the acquisition of forklifts.

The contracting activity seeks to acquire two (2) Taylor GT60 Triple Mast Forklifts through a firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures. The estimated contract value does not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000.00, and the contract will be funded with Navy Working Capital Funds. The acquisition is for equipment meeting specific salient characteristics, including a 6,000-pound basic capacity at a 24-inch load center with a 66.90-inch wheelbase, an Isuzu Tier 4F Diesel engine or equivalent, a 189-inch maximum fork height triple mast, and a 41-inch wide hook type carriage with side-shift and fork positioner functionality. Additional specifications include a full suspension vinyl seat, operator cab with heat and rear-mounted air conditioning, LED lighting, solid tires, double auxiliary hydraulic valves, and factory prep and setup. The Contracting Officer has determined that this order represents the best value and results in the lowest overall cost alternative to meet the Government's needs. Offerors proposing equal products must clearly identify the item by brand name and make/model number, provide descriptive literature or references to previously furnished data, meet all salient physical and functional characteristics, and clearly describe any modifications planned to achieve conformance with solicitation requirements.
