1. Can the purchaser provide any as built plans for the existing concrete blocks detailing rigging points & steel reinforcement.
C2380, C987, and C300 has no current knowledge of as built plans for the concrete blocks. C987 had also contacted the C980 dry dock branch asking if they know of any as built plans.

2. Per section 6.1 of the PWS can licensed contractors not registered in the state of Hawaii bid on this project. If not, can Prime contractor procure a local contractor to satisfy these requirements?
a. Answer: I don’t see why the prime contractor would not be able to use a local contractor.
b. The contractor must be license in Hawaii per PWS section 6.1 or subcontractor must be license in Hawaii as well, same requirements in the PWS.
3. How close are the shielding blocks to the water?
Closest distance is approximately 67 feet.
4. Are the blocks one single block or are they inter locked blocks?
a. Answer: Blocks are single blocks. They are pushed up against one another but not connected.
14 concrete blocks total.
5. Are these radiation shielding concrete blocks?
Yes.
6. Could you please provide an exact address of the location?
Building 1766.
7. In order to get an accurate sample for any lead in the concrete block, it would have to be cracked open completely, especially if the lead covering is in the center. Is there anyway for the government to perform the lead test on site?
No, the shipyard will not perform lead tests on blocks. In the PWS under the Performance Requirements section, it states that the contractor is responsible for providing an Environmental Protection Plan (EPP), which includes testing for lead.
