Military Sealift Command Synopsis THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or Request for Quote or Proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) for the USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201). The period of performance for this requirement is to commence 16 May 2017 for a period of forty-three (43) days. The USNS PATUXENT has a length of 678 FT and Breadth of 98 FT.

Work is to be performed at the contractor's facility on or about the above mentioned dates. Area of Consideration is East and/or Gulf Coasts. Major work items associated with this availability include:

A. Clean and Gas Free Tanks B. Steel repairs (01 & 02 level) C. Tank Deck Overhead preservation D. Overhaul and Preserve multiple pumps and motors to include:

(1) No. 01 & No. 03 Jacket Water pump and motor

(2) Emergency Fire pump and motor

(3) No. 02 CFW pump and motor

(4) No. 01 MSW pump and motor

(5) No. 04, 05 & 06 CPP pump and motor

(6) No. 01 DFM Cargo pump and motor E. Annual Lifeboat recertification F. Annual Inspection & Overhaul of the Firefighting System G. Vent Duct repair and preservation H. Sliding Block Sprockets & Lower Pillow Block Bearing replacement

This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a Bid, Proposal, or Quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by the agency.

The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 26 December 2016 with an estimated closing date of 31 January 2017. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on FEDBIZOPPS (https://www.fbo.gov) under solicitation number N32205-17-R-4003. All requests must provide DUN & Bradstreet number and CAGE code.

The appropriate NACIS code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of this synopsis.
