QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #1

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

1. We are an interested vendor on the SBX-1 Security Services contract, but would like to inquire if the government is willing to sponsor the required facility clearance for the contract.

ANSWER: The Government will not be sponsoring the required facility clearance for the contract. IAW L-4 of the RFP, offeror shall submit evidence (completed DD 254) of an active SECRET facility clearance in JPAS.

2. Could you please provide the incumbent contract number? If not, is this a new requirement?

ANSWER: This is not a new requirement. The incumbent contract number is N00033-12-C- 2000.

3. I didn’t see anything about a site visit. Will one be taking place or can you direct me to where that information may be so that we can get that booked?

ANSWER: A site visit is available in Pearl Harbor, HI on 04 January 2017. Prospective offerors wishing to make the scheduled ship check should contact Mrs. Keishla Valenzuela at keishla.valenzuela@navy.mil or (757) 341-5188 for an appointment immediately. Deadline to submit all required documentation is Thursday, 29 December 2016. Travel costs for this site visit will not be reimbursable and shall be for the contractor’s account. Due to schedule restrictions this is the only date the vessel will be made available for a site visit.
