About this file
This is a Question & Answer document for federal contract opportunity N0017826Q6733. The document addresses three vendor inquiries regarding the solicitation requirements.
The first question requests an extension to the closing date, which the government declined due to scheduling constraints. The second inquiry questions whether the government would accept a 5U rackmount server as a substitute for the tower solution specified in the SF1449 form; the government confirmed that it is requesting the specific item listed on the SF1449 and will not accept alternative form factors. The third question proposes substituting a Grace Blackwell-based workstation with closed-loop liquid cooling in place of the specified Nvidia H200 PCIe GPU-based system, citing superior performance capabilities. The government rejected this alternative, stating that the new architecture has not been vetted for operation on their network and would require extensive time and resources to qualify. The responses indicate the government's commitment to the specified technical requirements and unwillingness to accept substitutions or modifications to the procurement timeline.

N0017826Q6733 Question & Answer
1) Is it possible to ask for an extension on this?
A: Thanks for your interest in bidding. Regrettably, we cannot offer an extension on the closing date due to our tight schedule.
2) Upon our working with the vendor, we evaluated that we do not have a tower solution that meets your system specifications. Can you take a 5U rackmount server instead of a tower?
A: The customer is requesting the item listed on the SF1449.
3) Since Nvidia does not make any liquid cooled H200 PCIe GPU’s would the customer be open to a Grace Blackwell based workstation? This system is supported with closed loop liquid cooling and would deliver better performance then and H200 based system. Would the customer be open to a briefing on this system and options to understand the specifications in relation to their specific system requirements?
A: While these new architectures are interesting, they have not been vetted for operation on our network and would require extensive time and resources to get them qualified.
