Section SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

Statement of Work Accelerator X-Ray Imaging and Control System Description:

The Indian Head Large Motor X-Ray System is a semi-automated system that uses power x-ray generators called linear accelerators to produce x-rays, digital detector arrays to convert x-ray energy into a useable signal and a motion control system to position the inspection items accurately. The software will have two main parts which must work together to allow the operator to use the system efficiently.

The first part of the system is the motion control system. The position of the DDA and the item being inspected must be remotely controlled from the control room which is located in a separate building. Accurate positioning of the detector and the item are necessary for a repeatable and accurate inspection. The movement is done by servo motors which are controlled using a EtherCat interface.

The second part of the system is the imaging system. A digital detector array converts radiation into an electrical signal that is proportional to the amount of radiation dose received in a period of time. This image data as it is sent from the panel via a CAT 6 cable, must be received by the computer, processed and saved to a file or sent to another program.

Hardware Requirements:

· Control Workstation with Synchronizer Module

· PC with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

· Large format 4 Megapixel Display

· Synchronizer configured for Varian M-series Linear Accelerator.

· Synchronizer must have ability to be reconfigured to a different x-ray source by means of interchangeable chips without requiring re-soldering.

· Synchronizer configured for Varex 4343HE Digital Detector Array.

If the Offeror does not have any Federal Government contracts, then list state, local, or commercial contracts, in that order.

Contractors unable to provide the above referenced past performance information may provide contractor past performance questionnaires (Attached). Failure to submit any Contractor Past Performance Questionnaires shall be considered certification that the contractor has no record of relevant and meaningful past performance for the Government to evaluate. In that case, the Offeror shall affirmatively state that it possesses no relevant past performance and explain why it has no relevant past performance or cannot provide any Questionnaires. Failure to provide the required information or to provide an explanation may result in the removal of the Offeror from consideration for award.

The Past Performance Questionnaire includes questions on (1) customer satisfaction; (2) timeliness; (3) technical success; (4) program management; and (5) quality. The Government will not assign a rank to the Past Performance factor, but will determine the acceptable or unacceptable nature of the past performance for each Offeror based on the information provided and review of other sources of past performance information available to the Government.

Relevant past performance is defined as experience that is of the same or similar scope (i.e, for the same or similar items), of the same or similar magnitude, and of the same or similar complexity to that which is described in the quotation.
