Minimum Specifications
Fast framing camera. This procurement shall consist of the components below:
1. An ultra-high speed framing camera with sensitivity over the spectral range from 220 nm to 700 nm.
2. Must be able to record at least 5 frames at all frame rates on at least 1360 pixels tall x 1040 pixels wide, 8.8 mm wide x 6.6 mm high intensified CCDs (ICCDs)
3. Be upgradable to 8 frames. Over the wavelength range from 220 nm to 400 nm at least 4 % of the incident light should be transmitted to each frame, and the quantum efficiency of each ICCD over this wavelength range should be at least 15 %.
4. Over the wavelength range from 400 nm to 700 nm, at least 2 % of the incident light should be transmitted to each frame, and the quantum efficiency of each ICCD over this wavelength range should be at least 5 %.
5. P43 phosphor intensifier tubes should be used in the ICCDs, with 30 lp/mm or better resolution and a bandwidth of greater than 60 nm for wavelengths below 400 nm. The exposure time for each frame should be adjustable from 3 ns to 10 ms, with interframe times from 0 ns to 10 ms in 1 ns or smaller steps. The gain of each ICCD shall be adjustable from unity to 7000×.
6. The system shall be contained in a fitted case, have a built-in electromechanical iris and a capping shutter, and have a lens mount at its entrance compatible with at least one brand of commercially-available lenses.
7. Shipping from manufacturer to NRL
