1. Program Manager Education Must have a Master’s degree in Engineering and/or a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Experience Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Fire Protection, Mechanical or Chemical

Engineering field.

Must have a minimum of Minimum 10 years of experience in the Design and Development of U.S. Navy fire protection systems.

Must have knowledge and experience with shipboard fire protection technologies, doctrine for it use and fire hazard assessments.

Must have at least a Secret Clearance.

2. Senior Engineer

Must have at least a Bachelors of Science in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or

Engineering and a PE or EIT certification.

Experience Must have at least 7 years of experience in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or

Engineering field.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory/field research, development, test and evaluation related to fire and smoke spread modeling analysis.

3. Junior Engineer

Must have at least a Bachelors of Science in an Engineering discipline.

Experience Must have at least 3 years of experience in an engineering field.

Must have experience with U.S. Navy fire protection systems.

Desirable, have a PE or EIT certification

4. Senior Technician

Must have at least a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Experience Must have at least 10 years of experience as an electrical, electronics, or mechanical technician.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting implementation, Development, Test instrumentation with regard to fire test protocols, Sensors, and Systems.

Must have experience in Setting Up and Conducting Laboratory and Field Tests in Design and Fabrication of fire test structures, Electro-Mechanical Components and have welding and carpentry skills.

Must have experience in various technician support roles including equipment installations, testing, and troubleshooting.

Must have at least a Confidential Clearance.

5. Fire Test Technician

Must have at least a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Experience Must have at least 3 years of experience providing technical support for fire protection or research and development centric organization.

Must have hands on experience with the mechanical and electrical practices in government facilities.

Must be experienced in maintenance and maintenance of specialized test equipment.

Must possess a Confidential Clearance.

Desirable, to have civilian firefighting experience and qualifications.
