SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION 1.0 - SCHEDULE/INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE/DELIVERY

The following have been modified:

SPECIFICATION

Modular Floating Work Platform System

1. Provide new (not used) standard commercial off the shelf modular floating units/sections.

2. Provide three (3) modular barge/pontoon units, each unit to measure

10FT (width) x 40 FT (length) x 5 FT (height) and capable of being configured as shown in Figure 1 below (with a 4th existing barge).

3. Provide twelve (12) removable deck cleats.

Figure 1. Flexible 4-unit barge configurations

Modular Barge Units / Sections

1. Deck Loading Capacity: 5,000 lbs./sq. ft. or greater.

2. Load Capacity: Capacity 35,000 lbs. @ 2' 6" draft.

3. Hulls and decks manufactured of ¼ inch or greater steel.

4. Each barge unit shall have a minimum of ten (10) quarter-circle tube turns around the entire perimeter of the barge with a 5 ton (10,000 lbs) minimum capacity for cleat attachment or similar tie-down attachments.

5. Each modular barge unit will be equipped on top with single point recessed lifting fixture, shackle/clevis, certified to at least 1.5X the overall modular unit weight for unloading and set up operations. Lifting fixture must be water tight to prevent water intrusion to the hull void. (Requires certificate of conformance which identifies total weight of assembly and design calculations or actual weight test documentation detailing the item was tested to 1.5X or greater with a ten minute static hold time.)

6. At least one personnel access hatch from the top deck for interior hull inspections on each modular barge unit.

Entry points must be concealed with flush mounted detachable hatch cover, with steel ladder below to allow safe entry /exit. Entry point must be water tight to prevent water intrusion into hull void.

7. Modular barge units must connect both at the top and bottom to minimize flexing of the assembly. Lock capacity at 65% Yield (Tension or Shear) must be 90,000 lbs. minimum, and provides a rigid connection between modular barge units. Locking system is integral to modules with no separate pins, bolts or other loose parts (i.e. non-removable), and is designed for on-deck assembly operation.

N00164-16-R-JR50

8. Locking mechanisms on all four sides of modular barge unit provides a high–strength integral locking system that enables the modular units to be interconnected side-by-side, end-to-end or end-to-side. This flexibility in configuration of the modular barge units allow assembly of work platforms as illustrated in Figure 1 above.

9. Modular barge unit exterior surfaces must be coated with a marine epoxy, such as Bar Rust 235 Epoxy or equivalent.

10. Hull areas below the projected water line must contain sufficient number of replaceable Zinc Anodes Protection or equivalent to minimize corrosion of the modular barge.

11. Modular barge interior hull must be coated with epoxy, such as Bio-Float or equivalent.

12. No Anti-fouling paint.

13. Must have a Flexifloat ® compatible connection system.

Other

1. Vendor shall provide structural drawing with load bearing information to support future crane or structural placement on the modular barge assembly. (CDRL A0002, Product Drawings/Models and Associated Lists)

2. Warranty each modular barge unit to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the period of one (1) year from date of shipment. (CDRL A0001, Certificate of Compliance)

3. Provide instructions for basic maintenance and repair of modular barge unit. (CDRL A0002, Product Drawings/Models and Associated Lists)
