UPS Systems and Battery Replacement Questions and Answers Part II

Question 1: Provide the specifications for the make, model, and quantity of batteries for the Mitsubishi UPS Systems?

Question 2: If a UPS has pre-existing conditions it will have alarms. What are the current alarms on the UPS?

Question 3: What is the battery configuration that will determine the end users desired runtime?

Question 4: Can either of the following be provided:

Brand Model number Location of the Battery Voltage and Amp/hour capacity Terminal type and physical dimensions Number of UPS Systems

Answer: The Quantities of batteries for the Academy Barrack Buildings are:

Barry Hall ‘0’ Deck (30) Barry Hall B-13 (30) Palmer Hall (60) Jones Hall (60)

Answer: According to the SOW and specifications provided in the solicitation, there is sufficient information for offerors to provide a quote. The Government is looking for a qualified manufacturer representative to provide the service. Opening and/or servicing a UPS unit should only be done by a qualified technician. There are significant shock hazards exposed when you remove a service panel. The Government is not comfortable accessing the units without the proper training, which cannot be accomplished at this time.
