About this file
This document is a set of Specific Terms and Conditions for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the State Military Department for plumbing services. The contract aims to establish a 12-month agreement with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods, subject to mutual written approval at least 30 days prior to the current period's expiration. The award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, with the winner determined by an award matrix revealed during the bid opening.
The bid submission requires suppliers to enter pricing through the Alabamabuys supplier portal, with specific instructions for unit pricing and markup percentages. Suppliers must provide liability insurance documentation and maintain Workman's Compensation Insurance. Price adjustments may be considered for significant increases in material or labor costs, but any proposed increases must not exceed industry-specific price indices or the Consumer Price Index and require written approval. The State of Alabama will pay invoices 30 days in arrears, and the contractor is responsible for ensuring high-quality materials and labor that comply with local codes and professional standards.
