About this file
This document is a set of Questions and Answers related to a federal contract opportunity for Secure Video Tele-Conferencing (SVTC) equipment and installation. The key details are:
The federal contract opportunity is to replace unauthorized legacy SVTC equipment in eight separate rooms with authorized Cisco devices that can interface with existing audio-visual equipment. The tasks include installing Webex Codec EQ, Wall Mount kits, multisite licenses, Cisco Table Microphones, and Cisco Project Packs in various rooms such as the Heritage Room, Commanding Officer Conference Room, Library Room, White Cell Room, Operations Officer Office, and Commanding Officer Office. Additionally, all legacy SVTC equipment must be removed from these rooms. The contract requires a one-year warranty. The contracting agency is the United States Marine Corps.
The document also addresses several questions related to the equipment requirements, existing equipment, and the availability of control system code. The responses indicate that the new equipment must be TAA compliant, the agency wants to maintain current capabilities, and limited floor plans or images of the spaces can be provided due to classification concerns.

The CS-MIC-TABLE- E is end of life and only offer in refurbished.
Answer- When the ITPRAS was created and approved it specifically listed the E as the PN we were requesting so changing it will delay the procurement process and speaking with our AV team the E are more than adequate.
Question 3 - We need a list of existing equipment that will remain in the rooms to accurately quote.
Answer- The preexisting equipment in those spaces is predominantly Crestron audio/visual. Attached are the equipment lists for the Heritage Room, Library, and CO Conference Room. The White Cell we don’t have a list of what is installed; however, we do have a diagram which is attached. Please see attached equipment list.
Question 4 - If there is a control system (Crestron), is the uncompiled code available? If there is a control system and the code is not available, it would require a complete reprogram.
Answer- There are control systems for each room except for the CO Office and OpsO office. We have control files available to us from the previous installer for the new integrators use.
Question 5- We would like to inquire if the equipment needed must be TAA compliant. If yes, those usually take longer to acquire, which is usually around 6 to 7 months.
Answer- Yes, it must be TAA compliant.
Question 6- Per the PWS, Task 1 specifies integrating with pre-existing AV equipment. If we could get more info on what that entails, it will give us a better overall idea on what’s needed when putting together the design/quote, please.
Tasks 1: To fulfill the capability requirements of the below equipment for each respective room, ensuring each device is capable of receiving and hosting SVTC calls and integrating with preexisting audio-visual equipment.
Answer- The preexisting equipment in those spaces is predominantly Crestron audio/visual. Attached are the equipment lists for the Heritage Room, Library, and CO Conference Room. The White Cell we don’t have a list of what is installed; however, we do have a diagram which is attached. Please see attached Equipment List
Question 7 - What are the existing legacy codecs that are being removed?
Answer- One legacy Cisco device, and multiple out of scope poly devices.
Question 8- How many inputs and outputs per codec are being used per room?
Answer- All rooms will need one input and two outputs except for the COs office and OpsOs office which don’t apply.
Question 9- If the new codec has the capability to accept more inputs or outputs how does the customer want to proceed?
Answer- We would like to maintain our current capabilities and see no need for expansion.
Question 10- Do they want to stay with the current capabilities or expand to match the new codec? If expand, please provide system details.
Answer- We would like to maintain our current capabilities and see no need for expansion.
Question 11 - We would like to inquire about the possibility of providing pictures or floor plans of the facilities where the equipment should be installed.
Answer - Providing pictures of the spaces would require a lot of work due to the spaces being classified. I will look for floorplans that include dimensions and are ok for distribution however I haven’t found any.
