About this file
This document is a salient characteristics overview for an LVD Brake Press machine. Key details include:
The press brake features a user-friendly 19" touch screen control compatible with CADMAN-B software, which automatically unfolds the part, calculates bend allowances, creates 2D DXF files, and determines the optimal bend sequence, tooling, and positioning. The machine has a servo-controlled hydraulic system, a one-piece welded frame, automatic crowning, and linear encoders to maintain positioning accuracy. It can handle complex bending applications and is compatible with STEP and IGES files. The press brake has a bending force of 150 US tons, a working length of 120 inches, and weighs approximately 20,950 lbs.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice from the Department of the Air Force's Air Education and Training Command for an LVD Strippit Press Brake system. This is a brand name requirement, so alternate items will not be considered. The government intends to issue a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order for the press brake system that meets the salient characteristics outlined in the attached document.

PPEB 135/30 5-Axis Press Brake Salient Characteristics
Overview
· User-friendly 19” Touch-B touchscreen control compatible with CADMAN-B software.
· CADMAN-B: automatically unfolds the part, expertly calculates press brake bend allowances, creates the 2D DXF file and determines the optimal bend sequence, tooling, tool and gauge positions for reliable bending.
· Accurate flat pattern layout the first time
· Works with STEP and IGES files
· Handles complex bending applications for all LVD press brakes and automated bending cells
· Servo-controlled hydraulic system. Servo motors are AC synchronous permanent magnet motors.
· One-piece welded frame.
· Automatic crowning system.
· Linear enclosers - referenced encoders are connected to the bed in such a way that deformation during bending does not influence the positioning accuracy of the ram.
· Die table is precision ground and supplied with a die slot utilizing set screws for mounting standard V dies directly in the bed.
· Long, adjustable gibing, ground and fitted with non-metallic liners provides minimum clearance and superior ram guiding throughout the life of the machine with minimal maintenance.
· Movable control console with palm buttons, foot switch, reset and emergency stop button.
· Machine control that provides: axis disable, adaptive angle, auto programming, and air/bottom bending mode.
