Questions and Answers

1. Per SOW 3.2.3 - Record drawing from the original and subsequent construction effort is available and has been provided as part of the solicitation package in the appendix.

Q - Are these record drawings available? If so can a copy be obtained?

Government Response: Yes, we have record drawings. I have provided these to Contracting with the responses. Government does not guarantee that record drawings provided are in the required CAD format standard.

Drawings will be provided to contractor upon award.

2. SOW 3.3.5 - All ceiling mounted speakers, red lights, fire alarm devices that are removed shall be protected and reinstalled.

Q - Please provide number of ceiling speakers, red lights, fire alarm devices, to be removed and protected.

Government Response: Room 119C has two (2) yellow strobes and one (1) fire alarm bell. Note that 119C ceiling mounted speakers and red lights are not applicable to this room because ceiling is not being removed in 119C. Room 119E have none existing.

3. SOW 3.3.6 - All yellow strobe lights and announcement system speakers must remain in place and cannot be disconnected. These devices will need to be suspended, protected, and re-installed.

Q - Please provide number of yellow strobe lights and speakers to be suspended and protected

Government Response: Refer to Question #2 response.

4. SOW 3.3.14 - At each COMM location, provide and install 2 EA, new 1” conduit/EMT and pull strings in support of new COMM and telephone lines. Customer will run the COMM lines. Confirm drops with customer during design. See Appendix D – 802 CS Telecommunications System Cabling Standards.

Q - Room 119 F was given as an example for the COMM Drops. In room 119F the drops are approximately 6 - 8' apart with one drop at 18" and 1 drop at 54". Will this be the required distance and height for the COMM drops at each work station?

Government Response: Yes, drops 6'-8' apart is required (Power in the middle, COMM on the left and right, identical to 119F) and there will be one (1) location where customer will have a TV installed. Height for TV will likely be closer to 80" due to the height of the new furniture. 502 CES PM will ensure location specifics on height and location are confirmed during design phase.

5. SOW 119 E - 3.3.35 and 3.3.36 - have the same COMM and Electrical requirements as the SOW for Room 119C.

Q - Is it the Governments intent to incorporate this break room into Room 119C? The Drawing in Attachment F shows the perimeter of both rooms highlighted.

Government Response: Yes, room 119E is part of this contract renovation. Blue highlight on Attachment F is only shown to specify the boundary of the renovation. Any customer required COMM and electrical support in Room 119E, break room, will be specified during design and incorporated as part of the renovation.

6. Attachment F shows a blue highlighted line around the perimeters of 119 C and 119 E. Does this drawing designate the location of the extended wall around the perimeters?

Government Response: The blue highlight only shows the boundary of the renovation. Project includes Room 119C, 119E, and the highlighted wall of 119D. This is not indication of the wall extensions specifically. Refer to revised SOW, dated 8 September 2015, 3.3.3, 3.3.19, and 3.3.22. All required wall extensions to deck are to be built to the IC TECH SPEC for ICD/ISC 705, Wall A - Suggested Standard Acoustic Wall Construction, Chapter 3, pg.8, 2. A-H, and pg.16.
