3. Not approved- If "not approved" is marked by the Engineer, the submittal data does not meet job requirements and the Contractor must resubmit.
4. Revise and Resubmit-If the submittal is returned "Approved as Noted", the FAA may also mark "Revise and Resubmit" which shall require the contractor to resubmit the items for which additional information or material is required. "Revise and Resubmit" shall be required in all cases where the submittal is returned "Not Approved", whether marked or not. Contractor shall resubmit the corrected material in the same quantity as specified for the original submittal. Resubmittals require an additional review period in accordance with Section 1.4F.
J. Submittals must include a transmittal in a format to be approved by the Engineer.
1. An electronic copy of a signed original version must be furnished to the Engineer as part of each submittal. When hard copies of a submittal are required, a copy of the signed original transmittal shall be the first page of each submittal copy.
2. The prime Contractor will be fully responsible for this form and the adequacy of all submittals containing information prepared by its subcontractors.
3. The transmittal number identifies the specification section number and are then numbered sequentially starting with the number "1" for that specification section, such as "08 88 58 - 01" for the first Cab Glazing submittal. Resubmittals shall be numbered sequentially to follow the submittal number, such as 08 88 58-01-01 for the first resubmittal, 08 88 58-01-02 for the second resubmittal, and so on.
4. Identify that the submittal is from the Contractor, regardless if a vendor or subcontractor first submitted the item to the Contractor for its review and approval before the Contractor submits it to the Government for review and approval. Include the Contractor's name, mailing address, contact name and telephone number.
5. All submittals for this work are for Government review and approval.
6. Each transmittal should cover only one section of the specifications or drawings. However, if an item applies to more than one section, a single submittal is acceptable provided the paragraphs of each applicable section are identified on the transmittal and all applicable item numbers are listed on the form.
7. Include a Remarks column, and if additional space is needed, the Contractor may write "See Attached", and attach a supplemental sheet.
