About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 24SCI0168 for Specialty Gases and Liquids, issued by the University at Buffalo Procurement Department on April 8, 2025. The solicitation covers the procurement of specialty gases and liquids for the university's three campus locations (North, South, and Downtown), including various grades of gases such as Liquid Argon, Liquid Oxygen, and Nitrogen. The contract allows for potential punchout catalog capabilities through the Jaggaer online platform and may require consolidated billing processes. The university reserves the right to make awards within 120 days after the bid close date, subject to approvals from the Attorney General and State Comptroller offices.
Pricing and cost adjustment terms are structured to allow annual increases up to 5% based on the US Department of Labor Consumer Price Index for the Northeast Urban area. The contract includes specific termination provisions, including early termination for unavailability of funds, cause, convenience, or if certain state certification forms are found to be intentionally false or incomplete. The addendum clarifies several technical specifications, such as correcting cylinder sizes for Medical Oxygen (from 200 cuft to 25 cuft) and confirming that Nitrogen dewars can be supplied on wheels. Delivery will encompass multiple campus buildings across the university's North, South, and Downtown locations, with specific delivery points listed in the document.
