Statement of Work (SOW) United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) WAND DataFacet Software or “Equal” for SharePoint
Task Order ID: ID04130197
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) requires WAND DataFacet Software or “Equal” for SharePoint to provide a taxonomy-based data model for the USPACOM enterprise’s unstructured information along with a set of tools for applying the data model to USPACOM SharePoint content.
2.0 BACKGROUND
USPACOM requires DataFacet Auto-Classification software and services to assist the PACOM Information Management (IM) team in building and classification capability into their existing servers using SharePoint search and taxonomy software seamlessly. The PACOM IT team provides policy support, functional information management and administrative services to PACOM components and their activities. Enforcing compliance with metadata policies is a major challenge for our organization. Users simply do not tag documents after they have created the content. WAND DataFacet Software or “Equal” can meet this challenge by automating the process by automatically categorizing documents to foundation taxonomies by providing assisted navigation powered by taxonomies. These taxonomies will enable our team and personnel to classify and find the information they already know is in SharePoint and help them discover what they do not know by giving context to the search result and letting them filter and browse through the results.
2.0 SCOPE
The contractor shall provide WAND DataFacet Software or “Equal” products.
3.0 REQUIREMENT
The contractor shall provide DataFacet Autoclasification/Taxomomy Manager Integration or “Equal” and twelve (12) months of maintenance support. The automated metadata tagging software must be compatible with, be able to be installed on, and use the taxomomy store from the existing SharePoint 2010 servers.
